Abstract
In June 2007, the Government published the ‘Review of the Protection of Children from Sex Offenders’ (Home Office 2007). The Review considered the way in which the risks presented by registered child sex offenders(RSOs) in the community are managed, including the amount of information about child sex offenders that is disclosed to the public. The review set out 20 actions to strengthen efforts to keep children safe. This article presents the key findings in respect of RSO perceptions, potential (and where possible actual) reactions to the pilot disclosure scheme.
