dc.description.abstract After a series of one- day conferences on this theme in 2005 and 2007 Jeff Hill and Jean Williams of the International Centre for Sports History and Culture organised a special two-day international conference on sport, writing and history. An international panel of guest speakers (USA, Iceland, Ireland and mainland Europe) were invited to give papers at the event.
