Abstract
Description
Originally presented at the SID Advanced Display Technologies in Minsk in October 2004. Subsequently, selected papers were chosen for inclusion in the Journal of the SID. The paper provided a useful vehicle for dissemination of EU research in 3D displays carried out in the ATTEST project (IST-2001-34396) and the 3DTV Network of Excellence (IST-511568). ATTEST was an EU-funded project, led by Philips, where the complete 3D TV broadcast chain was covered. Our role in this was to develop a multi-user autostereoscopic display. The 3DTV NoE is an ongoing project comprising around 200 researchers from throughout Europe.
