Abstract
Dirty Electronics’ wild irons meets Jack Featherstone’s bold graphic in AV performance of Polytik. Glitched-out feral noise and analogue sequences eat themselves, spawning new pattern after pattern with morphing geometric visuals. In Dirty Electronics performances begin on the workbench and are extended on to the stage. An event open to participation. Dirty Electronics have released two hand-held synths on Mute Records. Featherstone’s striking primary visual language is inspired by technical drawings and minimal graphic art. Featherstone is best known for his Warp Records T-shirt designs and AV shows with Simian Mobile Disco and James Holden. In this collaboration their aesthetics collide drawing on technological objects as material and DIY ethos. Polytik is a series of electronic musical art objects brought about by the company Artists & Engineers.
